The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) is a federal 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with the following organizational mission:
The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) improves and sustains the quality of life in a diverse Leon County Florida area by uniting, preserving, strengthening and honoring neighborhoods through effective advocacy, education and networking opportunities, civic engagement and community action and neighborhood collaboration.
Located in the Tallahassee and Leon County Florida area, CONA was first incorporated in 1980.
CONA works cooperatively with neighborhood and homeowner associations, local governments, law enforcement, the educational community, business, environmental groups and other civic organizations on those issues that affect the quality of life, health, safety and well-being of area residents.
The Council provides an active and effective forum for bringing neighborhood issues to public attention through effective advocacy, networking opportunities and education forums.

Purpose of CONA
CONA exists to:
- celebrate and promote diversity as enriching and strengthening CONA and our member neighborhoods in carrying out our mission.
- provide informed, effective and relevant advocacy on behalf of neighborhoods in the best interests of the community.
- assist neighborhoods in responding to their common issues and challenges and in improving their neighborhoods.
- help build strong and effective neighborhood organizations, equip neighborhoods for civic engagement and community action, and facilitate opportunities to help each other through meaningful educational, networking, and service opportunities.
- engage neighborhoods in addressing community issues that will improve the oveall quality of life.
CONA Membership Meetings
CONA hosts Town Hall meetings every even-numbered month, Delegate Assembly meetings twice each year in April and October and the Annual Meeting and Neighborhood Awards Reception each May.
Town Hall Meetings
CONA conducts a "Town Hall Meeting" at 6:00PM on the second Monday of each even-numbered month. These meetings take place at the Leroy Collins (Downtown) Public Library, First Floor Program Room, 200 W. Park Ave, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
Delegate Assembly
Twice each year, CONA convenes a meeting of CONA delegates from member neighborhoods. The public is invited to attend these meetings. The Delegate Assembly convenes in October and April of each year. The next meeing is Monday, October 12, at the Leroy Collins (Downtown) Public Library, First Floor Program Room, 200 W. Park Ave. Tallahassee, FL 32301.
Annual Meeting and Neighborhood Awards Reception
The Annual Meeting and Awards Reception is held on the second Monday in May at a different location each year. Please check here beginning in mid-April for more information and meeting location.
